In the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 joint convocation ceremonies, the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Amazed Nigerians by producing 542 distinction out of 10,358 graduands.
Dr Segun Aluko, the institution’s rector, made the announcement during a news conference held on the school grounds on Monday as part of the convocation ceremonies’ festivities. According to Aluko, the polytechnic was unable to hold the 2019/2020 convocation event last year owing to the COVID-19, which forced the celebration to be postponed.
However, he stated that the university has chosen to combine the two ceremonies, which will take place on March 30. He stated that the ceremonies would be the last formal event that his administration will oversee since assuming the position of Rector of the university about eight years ago.
Aluko said the polytechnic graduands will confer Higher National Diploma and Ordinary National Diploma on 10,358 students, with 5,124 and 5,234 students receiving Higher National Diploma and Ordinary National Diploma for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic sessions, respectively.
