PC Batch Files To Hide Your Folders/Files [Code]


Hi guys, welcome to another 360GPTECH tutorial guild. Today, we gonna be teaching You Guys “How to create the batch file to lock a folder”  Does that sound friendly at all? I guess Yes of course. Most of the time We likly to hide Our personals files for safety usage, right?

We gonna be unveiling to You Guys How to create the batch file to lock a folder without using softwares or Apps in a simple way. We gonna be using the bellow code to do this. Kindly note that, this doesn’t required any programming skills or software all that this need is:

The following code.

  • The required system.
  • A notepad++ or Notepad

After having this materials ready then, You’re ready to kick off!

FIRST STEP: Copy  the bellow code and paste in a notepad or Notepad++.
Kindly note that, if You’re using Notepad++ You select batch from the language section.

Note: The code come with passcode. So, You can change it to Your own code for secrete. Replace the red portion words noted with black ink to Your own password. Below with the screen shot.


SECOND GUILD: Save the code file as “Key.bat”.  After this, You’re  done.  To lock or hind Your files/folders,  double-click on the Key.bat file for first time,  a folder “Confidential” will be automatically created. You can move all your confidential data in that folder.

THIRD STEP:  Now to lock the folder just double-click on the file “Key”. You will get a confirmation message in Command Prompt. Type “y” to confirm.  Now the folder “Confidential” will be locked and hidden. And to unhide or unlock the folder contents then,  again double-click on the batch file,  You have created. Immediately You will be prompted to enter your password. After that you can get access to the folder “Confidential”.

Yea! By this process You can protect  Your confidential files and no body can get access to the folder without the password.
